Quant Labs (“we,” “us”) provides property tax protest services to Texas homeowners. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and client portal, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

To generate an estimate, we collect the property address you enter and, if you run an estimate, an anonymous record of that address for our own follow-up. If you ask us to email you your estimate, or to remind you when filing opens, we keep that email address and use it only for that. To act as your appointed agent, we additionally collect:

  • Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  • Your electronic signature (drawn or typed) on Texas Comptroller Form 50-162
  • The IP address and browser used when you sign
  • Records of your protest’s status, correspondence, and any documents the appraisal district or review board issues
  • Your Notice of Appraised Value, if you upload it, including the owner ID and online-filing PIN printed on it. We store the PIN encrypted, use it only to file your protest, and delete it once your protest is resolved.

We do not collect a password. Sign-in uses a one-time email link or, if you choose, your Google account. With Google sign-in we receive only your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and nothing else.

How we use it

We use your information to prepare and file your protest, represent you at an informal meeting or ARB hearing, communicate with you about your case, invoice our contingency fee once a reduction is final, and comply with recordkeeping obligations under Texas law and the rules that govern property tax consultants.

How we share it

We share what is necessary to do the work you hired us for:

  • The appraisal district and appraisal review board, as required to file and argue your protest.
  • Resend, to deliver sign-in codes and case emails.
  • Anthropic, whose AI model reads an uploaded appraisal notice so we don’t have to retype it, and helps draft protest documents that our staff review. It receives your name, property address and the values on your notice — never your filing PIN or your signature.
  • Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Stripe, to process your contingency-fee payment. We never see or store your card number — Stripe collects it directly.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

How we store it

Your signature and generated documents are kept in private storage, outside any publicly reachable location, and are only ever served to you (or to staff working your file) through a request that checks who is asking. Case records live in a database that is not exposed to the internet directly.

How long we keep it

We keep engagement, protest, and billing records for as long as required by TDLR recordkeeping rules and applicable statutes of limitation, and for as long as reasonably needed to answer questions about a past filing.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close your account, by emailing hello@theqntlabs.com. Some records — a signed Form 50-162, a filed protest, an issued invoice — are retained regardless of a deletion request, because they are the legal record of work we performed on your behalf.
